This is one of my all time favorite movies and every time I watch this movie I fall in love with it again. There is so much sadness, misery and loneliness in it and the subject itself is not very bright, but this movie is not scary or dark at all. There is not much action but all the details, dialogues and atmosphere make this movie simply beautiful and pure. I also LOVE the book ''The Virgin Suicides'' and I couldn't even decide which one I love more - the book or the movie because they both are amazing. This movie is one of the reasons I like Sofia Coppola that much.
So much has been said about the girls over the years. But we have never found an answer. It didn't matter in the end how old they had been, or that they were girls... but only that we had loved them... and that they hadn't heard us calling... still do not hear us calling them from out of those rooms... where they went to be alone for all time... and where we will never find the pieces to put them back together.

Such a good movie. So much mystery surrounds the whole story. I Haven't read the book but I definetly should!
