The strangest thing happened once we returned back home on that snowy evening. There was our little Christmas tree standing in the room just like we left it except I noticed something underneath it. When I saw what was there, I was so so happy, I couldn't contain myself. There was that exact little blue box right underneath our Christmas tree, exactly the one I wanted. To me it seemed like Santa Claus has heard me saying my wish about that box out loud and he managed to put it under our tree just before we came back home.
To this day I don't want to know the whole story how this happened (I'm pretty sure my Mom had something to do with it though) but I still remember this as one of the most magical things about Christmas in my life and I want this memory to stay this way forever. I know it was probably way less glamorous and magical than I remember it, after all, more than 15 years can sometimes change our memories but I know it was beautiful and I wasn't able to explain it to myself, so it became a lot more magical and it's all that matters.
I loved this box for the longest time, I've read these books about one million times and I remember liking the book about Lady and the Tramp the most. I still have it and it's really precious to me probably mostly because of this memory I have. The music does not play anymore, the box became not that beautiful as the time went on but I'm sure I'm going to keep it forever just like the memory of my Christmas wish coming true.
