3 EASY VALENTINE'S DAY TREATS

food treat for valentine's day

Valentine's day is just around the corner and whether you like to celebrate it or not, it's nice to treat yourself on this pink day and make something fun and tasty to eat, because we all do love food, don't we? And it's even better when it's pretty to look at (especially for those who love Instagram!).
These three recipes are really easy and I'm pretty sure you would enjoy sharing them with someone you love or just with yourself because this is also very very nice!

Pink pancakes / waffles with whipped cream and berries

I loved making and eating these! You can literally use every possible combination for the pancakes mix, the only thing I've added was red food coloring, this made my pancakes or waffles or whatever you want to call them pink. I'm pretty sure that if you make them in a frying pan, they would look even pinker because my waffles became a little bit brown instead of fully pink.
Of course, after making them I just had to add whipped cream, raspberries (you can use any berries you like) and little hearts on them. It takes a little bit of time to prepare all this but it's so much more special to eat the breakfast like this and you deserve to feel special!

I've blended spinach, frozen raspberries, frozen blueberries, orange and a little bit of water and it turned out really good. It's definitely not the sweetest smoothie you can make but it's really good and refreshing. I really really liked it. Also, if you have the chance to get fresh berries, I'm sure it would taste even better!

easy red velvet cake

Red velvet cake

This is definitely one of my favorite desserts ever. This one is a little bit harder to make but oh boy, it tastes heavenly, so if you have a bit of free time on your hands and if you love to bake, try this recipe, it's amazing! I've done a full post about this beauty last Spring and now as I'm looking at this picture I just imagine how amazing it would be to have a piece of this cake with a cup of coffee... I think I'm going to make this one really soon!

EASY CHRISTMAS BAKING IDEAS / BLOGMAS ❅ DAY 14

Every December I have one absolute must thing on my bucket list which is to bake cookies with ginger. I only make them at Christmas time, so this became some sort of tradition for me. I believe this is a Swedish dessert, so in our home we weren't used to bake them before, but couple of years ago I found the recipe and decided to try to bake them and as they turned out very tasty, this has become a treat in every December. Whenever I bake them, our home starts to smell like Christmas, which is also amazing, of course, and the taste is heavenly. They are so crunchy and a little spicy, perfect with a cup of tea in the evening while it's dark outside!
I used this recipe to make these little amazing cookies.

Another baking experiment I tried this December was baking these cute cupcakes in the shapes of Christmas trees and ginger bread men. I've only recently bough this silicone baking mold and I was very happy when I found it in the shop the other day, it's perfect for Christmas! I used the recipe I use for red velvet cake (except the filling part) and they turned out really tasty. I bet they also would look amazing with the some kind of frosting on top!

CUPCAKES WITH COCONUT FILLING

Today I tried a new recipe I've found and I absolutely love the result! Whenever I see coconut mentioned somewhere, I know this is going to be good. I just really like coconuts so cupcakes with coconuts is exactly what I like. For some people these cupcakes might be a little bit too sweet but for my taste they are perfect, I think they taste like heaven.

Here's what you'll need :
200 g. of sweet condensed milk
130 g. of butter
3 eggs
200 g. of sugar
1 teaspoon of baking powder
200 g. of flour

For the filling :
200 g. of sweet condensed milk
50 g. of  coconut powder

✿  Here's what you'll need to do :
Mix flour and baking powder in a bowl
Melt the butter and then mix it with sugar
Crack eggs into the mixture and mix it all together
Pour the condensed milk into the mixture
Pour the flour mixture into that bowl and mix all of it really well (it should look something like this in the picture below)
Pour the mixture into the cupcake forms and let it bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes in 180 degrees (Celsius)

While cupcakes are baking, you can prepare the filling. It's really easy, you only have to mix coconut powder together with condensed milk. It looks like this.
After you've taken your cupcakes from the oven, make cuts with the knife on the cupcake and then fill it with filling. Or you can spread it on top of the cupcakes, it's easier and tastes just as good.
Enjoy!

A LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN

If you ever find yourself craving for a perfect cake - there it is! For a long time I've been reading about bloggers eating this kind of cake and I've always wondered what's so great about this cake because I've never tried it as it's not really popular in Lithuania and I really doubt if there's a place here where I could it to try. So I just had to do it myself and it turns out it's actually incredibly good!
I love how it looks, this red color makes it look so fancy, it's not that difficult to make and it tastes amazing. I love love love it. Couple of days ago I made one for my Mom's birthday and she loved it and now there's just a small piece of it.
There is a recipe I used here.

This is also a 200th post in my blog and I'm doing a little dance now because that's an achievement to me!
