THE MONTH OF LOVE

february month of love valentine's day

Heelloo February! Even though January was not a bad month to me, I am really glad it is over. I was never a fan of Januaries, a month with the Blue Monday of the year can hardly be a favorite month, I guess. And you know, Februaries are not only one step closer to the Spring, they also have one beautiful day in it - Valentine's day. For all the single people out there (*I'm raising my hand here*) this day might not sound that appealing, but you know, it doesn't have to be a day which you spend crying about your single life. Single doesn't mean sad (at least it shouldn't) and Valentine's day can be just any other day of the year, but it can also be dedicated to loving yourself and making yourself happy. If you don't want to spend this day crying and moping around, I've got you covered.
For those coupled ones out there this can be another good day to show your special one just how much they mean to you. This day has become all about buying gifts, chocolates, flowers and everything pink and heart shaped, but it doesn't have to be about this, this is a day dedicated to love and it actually is a nice idea. It's just a nice reminder in a year to show a little bit more attention than you usually do.
I think the entire month of February should be dedicated to spreading love around you, to making your loved ones happy and making yourself happy. It's just like one more December when you;re trying to make people around you happier. I am definitely going to try to make this month all about love and I'm going to make this month on the blog all about love.
It's your choice, you can hate this all mushiness and pink hearts floating all around the city or you can try to spread love just a little bit more this month and love yourself and those around you a little bit harder.

HOW TO SURVIVE VALENTINE'S DAY WHEN YOU'RE SINGLE

Valentine's day is only a week away, as always it comes a little unexpectedly. Some people love it, some people hate it but most of the time if you are single, you dread this day of love. It's actually just another normal day in a year and I'm really not against it, to me it's just another little celebration and I think it's nice to have as many celebrations as it's possible. This day can be just another chance to celebrate love for yourself and just to spread love around you. There's nothing wrong with being single and there is no reason to be sad on Valentine's day if you are single. In my opinion, the most important thing before you get into a relationship is to love yourself which is much harder to do than it sounds. I don't think it is possible to be happy in a relationship if you don't love yourself enough. So I think this day could be dedicated to celebrating yourself and without any worries about your relationship status. There are plenty possibilities to make this a very happy day!

Don't feel sorry for yourself.

That is probably an essential part without which it will simply be impossible to make anything good out of this day. There is no reason to be sorry for yourself, you are perfectly fine being single and having a boyfriend doesn't always make you the happiest person alive. You can be as happy while being single!

Plan a girls day/night out.

You and your best friends could (and should!) plan a day out to spend some time together and enjoy. Friendship is so important and having your best girlfriends around you is such an amazing feeling. You could put some make up on, wear something nice and go somewhere cozy and just talk for hours.

Spend a cozy evening alone.

Sometimes it's a very good idea to spend a day just by yourself. If you cook a great meal, pour some wine and spend evening watching a great movie, it's a perfect night.

Wear something pink or red.

This day in general is surrounded by this red aura and it's just another great chance to wear this great color. I like wearing red anyway but I always have something red on me on Valentine's day!

Plan a pamper evening.

You have do this by yourself but it's even better when you do that with your girls. Bring face masks, scrubs, some cute nail polishes and spend some time treating your bodies! Of course, don't forget a little bit of champagne or some great cocktails!

Buy yourself something nice.

Valentine's day is a great day to treat those you love and it's also a great day to treat yourself. Buy yourself that statement necklace you've been wanting to get for months or these great shoes for an upcoming spring or a little getaway trip somewhere out of the city.

Buy yourself some flowers.

It's a good (very good) feeling when someone you love brings you flowers but why couldn't that person be you? You can buy yourself some fresh flowers because it actually feels very nice. Flowers instantly make your home look nicer and it's also a sing that Spring is approaching quickly, which is always good!

Whatever you decide to do, remember that is just a day in a year which doesn't have to be important if you don't want it to be but also you can always use a possibility to have fun and celebrate a little bit. Just remember You are not alone and surround yourself with positive people. Hope You'll have fun!
