HERE'S HOW WE CELEBRATED FATHER'S DAY

When you think of Summer, you imagine the Sun shining up in the sky, birds chirping around, warm breeze and warmth.. (Palm trees added to the picture would be absolutely idyllic). Well, Lithuanian Summer isn't always like this. On Sunday we woke up to a very rainy weather and the first days of the Summer weren't sunny at all. To be honest, I didn't really mind this as I had to stay home anyway to study for my exams but I'm hoping this is only the rainy beginning because Summer that looks exactly like Autumn isn't the best thing. This past week was pretty hectic, in these past 8 days I've had to take 4 exams, so only now I can finally relax for a while. Ed Sheeran is the singer of the night in my room tonight and I can finally do some blogging.

Despite this unhappy weather, last Sunday we had a Father's day celebration in our country and this was also an international children's day so this was quite a celebration and even though I'm not exactly a kid anymore, we still celebrated this day with my family. Me and my parents went to a really nice Italian restaurant called Basilico and had an absolutely amazing meal.
While being there we all have decided that we wouldn't really mind to eat Italian food every day. In fact, I would love this, Italian food and me get along really well. Me and my Mom got a big pizza to share which was d e l i c i o u s and my Dad got pasta which was great as well.  It was a nice way to remember our Italian trip with real Italian food which was actually really good, we had a glass of wine and enjoyed couple of hours together sitting cozy in a restaurant while it was pouring outside.

SUNSHINE SHE'S HERE, YOU CAN TAKE A BREAK

Sundays are rarely the day I enjoy a lot but this week I had a perfect Sunday and I start to realize more and more what people mean when they say that they love Sundays. I think this day is meant to be enjoyed, even its name is very beautiful and luckily yesterday was truly a Sun-day. Hooray, sun is back!
My day started with a walk in the park close to my home. It was a unusually early morning to me and it was quite chilly and very foggy around. There aren't many things that make me so happy as the beginning of the Spring when days are so sunny and not that very warm yet so you don't have to feel like a bear with many sweaters, a coat and biggest scarf anymore, but it's not that warm that you could say hi once again to your favorite leather jacket. Beginning of the Spring also means I get the chance to come back to the my happy place which I have missed so much since the last time I've been there (it was probably October) and kept dreaming about returning back there the whole winter. When I finally saw that perfect little house, I became so calm and relaxed. I don't know if there's another place where I feel so much at peace with myself and the world around me. I just kept walking around it, I was drinking tea and just enjoying the sunshine. After that we took a walk by the lake and the lake was still frozen and there aren't that many reminders left from the winter. When you are in the city, it seems like winter wasn't just here and it's so so nice. I wish every Sunday was just as nice like this past one because I enjoyed it really much!

Sunday morning

Sunday breakfast pancakes with whipped cream

I love those mornings when I can stop for a while and enjoy calm morning with a tasty meal before a long and possibly stressful week. But hopefully this week will be good for all of us! :)

Even though Sundays are probably my least favourite day of the week (and Mondays sometimes also) , this combination of pancakes + whipped cream + berries + coffee with milk and cinnamon was the perfect start for a cold day :)
