SPRING PLAYLIST | THE SOUND OF SPRING

MUSIC I'VE BEEN LOVING IN SPRING
To me, all the seasons have their particular sound just like they have their smell and their sunsets. And since Spring is my favorite season of them all, the songs I love in the Springtime stick with me for years and even know when I hear the song from the Spring years ago, I remember that time really really well. A couple of days ago one day from the 2012 randomly started to play and it brought me so many memories. Back then, I was about to graduate the high school and this song reminds me of that Spring so well with all the people, emotions, and my old high school image.
I love how songs always come to you at the time you need them the most and when the lyrics are so relatable and sometimes it seems like you've written them yourself. I just don't know how songs do this, how one short song can bring back so many memories to you, but it's amazing, I guess this is all that matters, isn't it?
Lovely Beth one day posted her January playlist with the best lyrics in the songs and I'm shamefully going to be a complete copy cat and share the songs I've been loving lately.

[How many secrets can you keep?
'Cause there's this tune I found that makes me think of you somehow and I play it on repeat
 Until I fall asleep]

[Sometimes the silence guides our minds

So move to a place so far away]

[I go to loud places to search for someone

To be quiet with who will take me home]

What have been the songs you've been playing on repeat this Spring?

SPRING VISION BOARD

SPRING VISION BOARD PINTEREST
This past week it's been sunny, then raining, then snowing and then raining again and even though some people are really enjoying this crazy weather, I definitely missed my favorite season which looks like my favorite season.
To me, Spring is fresh, warm, a little windy, a little chilly but warm enough to grab a coffee and walk around my city buzzing with people, it's the season with all kinds of colorful flowers all around the city and trees snowing with blossoms. It's a perfect season for waking up early and seeing the sun show up after a little and quick rain, it's green, it's so green sometimes the color doesn't seem real, it has an amazing smell and it's always full of promises and new possibilities. It's a season of leather jackets, pastel wedges or white Converse shoes, red or coral lipstick, it's just good and beautiful, you know. This is the Spring I miss and this is why on Sunday evenings I scroll Pinterest and try to inspire myself while creating vision board after vision board.
I really hope your Spring is inspired, I hope it's beautiful and sunny and full of smiles.

MARCH FAVORITES

Happy April, everyone! It's a month with April showers, trees becoming green and flowers starting to bloom and weather becoming warmer
But I think I need to stop giving attention to how quickly time is passing by. If I don't think about it too much, it's alright because Spring is in full force right now and it's amazing, but if I do start to think about it, it terrifies me because I'm almost done with my second semester this year which means also with the second year of Uni. Pretty scary stuff, isn't it?
Anyway, we are here now to talk about the things I've loved this month and the things that made me happy. This was really a great month, I've had the fullest agenda throughout it and this is what I love the most, this is how I feel the most alive. In the midst of it I sometimes think that I'd rather spend the evening sleeping, but when I talk to myself and say no, Migle, this is what you wanted, so no sleeping for a while and then I become really happy again that I have loads of things to do.

BEAUTY

GARNIER MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. Before I've been using The Loreal one but I've read great reviews about this Garnier one, so I decided to try it. It's also way bigger than the Loreal one, so it's also a big plus. So far, I really like it, it really cleans all of the makeup really quickly and doesn't dry the skin and that's what matters the most, isn't it?

BARRY M NAIL POLISH
I've been loooving this nail polish. This is really the nicest shade of blue and I would probably wear it all the time if I wouldn't be sad that it will run out quickly. And we don't get Barry M in Lithuania, so I'm cherishing the ones I have a lot. But seriously, if you have the chance to get this brand where you live, get this color (it's Blueberry) because it's amazing. See how it looks on my nails here

This Seventeen Lip Lustre lip gloss has also been my favorite this month. I have no clue what the name of color is because it is definitely not on the package but it's a very nice pink with a little bit of shimmer, so it's perfect for Springtime!

MUSIC

The most played album this month was the amazing one by Sam Smith. In The Lonely Hour is an album I can listen to for hours and hours and it still wouldn't get boring I think.
The is also one song I love a lot. I've loved it for months already and I remember listening to it while flying to Manchester in January but couple of nights ago I've had a perfect experience of driving in the car at night with new friends and this song suddenly started to play on the radio. This moment right there was a perfection, this whole day was amazing but at that time I couldn't really handle just how amazing it was. Oh, and yes, the song is Kygo - Firestone.

MOVIES

I've seen quite a few movies this past month because I've been volunteering in a Vilnius Film Festival and one of the best perks was the chance to watch a lot of movies. I think I will do a separate post about it, but the ones I've liked the most are Birdman, What We Do In The Shadows and the Lithuanian one called Sangailė.
It's been such a nice catch up on the movies because I haven't been watching a lot of them these past few months and now in two weeks I've seen a lot of them!

TV

I'm going to shamefully say that it's once again Pretty Little Liars. Since I found out about the Big ReveAl, I decided to rewatch the series from the beginning, so I've spent a crazy amount of time just watching all of these episodes. Once again, I've decided that the Halloween ones are the best thing out there and this whole story became a little bit clearer as I was watching it without any 6-month breaks. Then the day of the big reveal came and it wasn't as revealing as I've expected and I still have some theories that are not really fitting into the theme of the last episode and now it's a little painful to wait until the summer.

RANDOM FAVORITES

KNUCKLE RINGS FROM PRIMARK

I brought these little knuckle rings from Manchester. I bought a pack of them in Primark and they were insanely cheap because there were around 10 of them in the pack. These 3 are my favorite, I've been wearing them quite a lot really and it's so funny because I was convinced tiny rings don't look good on me and used to wear only the ones with big gemstones but now I like wearing these little ones so much!

THE BEST THING

The best thing that has happened this month has definitely been a Vilnius Film Festival where I've been volunteering. This has been such a good and wonderful experience and even though I've expected it to be great because I wanted to join it for years already, I could not have expected it to be this amazing. Volunteering always pushes you out of the comfort zone but this time I was working with the guests of the festival, so it was the work with a lot of responsibilities, stresses, and happiness because speaking with those guests was amazing! And also meeting these new, amazing, like-minded people is one more amazing thing that makes this experience a million times better.

3 FREE SPRING WALLPAPERS FOR YOUR LAPTOP

SPRING WALLPAPERS LAPTOP FREE DOWNLOAD

Since Spring is here, I feel the biggest urge to make everything look brighter and fresher in my life, including my wallpaper. I am that person who changes the  desktop background every few days because I use it as a source of my inspiration and I always have wallpapers on with quotes on them or just images that make me happy and inspired. I think it's important to use every possible source of inspiration in your life and if you can make your desktop look beautiful instead of just plain green or blue, that's even better!
So here are the three Spring wallpapers for your laptop to get yourself into the Spring mood a little bit more. You can download them in three different sizes for free (it opens in Photobucket, I just didn't figure out the better way to do this. Only click the download button on the right). I hope you are going to like them and if at least one person is going to put this on their screen, I'm going to be super happy!

MONTHLY FAVORITES - MAY

Another month has come and gone. To be honest, this month was quite a long and really eventful one. I honestly really liked this month! Summer has already officially begun (it's pouring down at the moment in Vilnius) and this year my Summer has started a bit earlier because I got the chance to have an awesome road trip to the wonderful Italy which was truly a summery place and I loved it.
Unfortunately, I have 4 exams left until my real Summer will begin for real so the beginning of June is always fun when you are in uni, isn't it? So now I'm procrastinating as always and it's a very good chance for me to share the things I have been loving this month.

When I was in Italy, my Dad pointed out to the shop called Kiko to us (4 ladies) and made the biggest mistake of showing us that store full of makeup. Whenever we went to, we saw this shop and it was nearly impossible to stop us from going there, at least one of us wanted to get another product! I ended up getting 3 nail polishes and I love them. We don't have this shop in Lithuania, I've never seen it at all so this was a nice thing to find. All these polishes were very cheap and I mean very cheap, they cost 2€ each. Colors are gorgeous, application is amazing and they actually last a long time. I'm quite sad I got only 3 of them because my addiction to nail polishes is still serious but I will leave it for my next trip to Italy one day.
I watched an amazing movie the other day. I've heard many good things about it and I totally agree with everyone, this movie is great! It's called Stuck in love and it's a story about a family of writers which was the thing that draw my attention to this movie, writers have always been interesting to me. It's really well written, it has everything in it - drama, romance, family, first love, new love, books and definitely something sweet about it.

Modern family was the only show I was watching this month. With all the traveling and studying this month I completely gave up my love of TV shows. However, I love Modern family and have been loving it from the very first season. It's hilarious and lovely at the same time, the best combination you could find so if you haven't watched it yet, you should definitely give it a try!

I bought a very lovely dress in Italy. I saw this dress hanging in the shop among the other ones and I knew it just had to be mine. This is literally me in a dress, from the color, to shape and material.  Lately I have been really loving this coral color, my prom dress was exactly the same color. This is a perfect dress for Summer, I love it!

My trip to Italy, of course. I loved every day of being there, it was so different to travel with my parents since I'm really grown up already and we had a very good time together. Oh and Italy, that place is always amazing.  You can see my pictures from some of the cities here and here and that's not all yet!

WHEN FLOWERS BLOOM

I don't have any doubt anymore that Spring is my favorite season, I don't think it can even get more beautiful than this. I love Spring for many reasons but flowers blooming all around is at the top of my list. I love these couple of weeks when every week different trees are blossoming, when I can see different flowers day after day. And also, the weather. That sunny, windy yet warm weather when everything smells so nice and we can finally open our windows to let some fresh in our homes and sometimes we can leave our windows open for the night and it's not that cold, it's just fresh. I love that it's so much green color around and for me this color is different shade of green than it is in the Summertime, it's much brighter, much more fresh. Spring is colorful, it's fresh, it's warm, it's inspirational and it's amazing. I would love to stop time at this moment in the year so that this perfect Spring could last much longer.
Today I spent a really relaxed and fun day outside with my friend in a very lovely botanical garden. We took way too many pictures of all the beauty around, spent a little bit time studying and had a little picnic by the tiny lake, it was very lovely to spend so much time outside in such an amazing atmosphere.

MY ENDLESS LIST OF GRATITUDE #12

♥ I've got really excited over this mug and now it's my new favorite one! It's totally normal to get excited over a mug, isn't it? Also I love my braided accent nails.
♥ This is why Spring is the best. I love seeing trees bloom and I guess this tree is full of the prettiest blossoms at the moment because this picture was taken on Saturday.
♥ I've never been a morning person and I used to dislike Sundays quite a lot but lately many things have been changing for me and mornings with breakfast like that are the best ones. Oh, and I also really enjoy Sundays now!

I really liked this little dinner we've had last Saturday with meal cooked outside on the grill.
This is the newest addition to the walls in our home. These are the pictures I've taken last Spring (you can see them here ) and we finally got around to hanging them up on the wall. Now we will always have this reminder of Spring at home which is great.

MY ENDLESS LIST OF GRATITUDE #11

/ When I started these posts of gratitude, I intended to do them every other Sunday but I haven't done one in a while and today is definitely not Sunday but I can break my own rules here, can't I? :) /

These incredibly pretty flowers are always the true sign of Spring here where I live and it's so wonderful to see violet spots on the ground while driving past the forest.
I love when things which are so easy to make are so tasty.

This is one of the prettiest pictures I've taken of my cat so far. I was trying to take a picture of the flowers and she was really interested in them. Spring is for everyone I guess :)
This hairstyle is called a Mermaid braid and I love it so much! I don't know if these pictures show how pretty it actually is, it's awesome.

That was a perfect breakfast. I used to really dislike eating breakfast but lately I like it more and more.

SPRING IN MY ROOM / DIY #3

This Saturday I finally started doing the last Spring project for my room. I'm always like this - I find an idea, I get really excited and then  forget I about them really often. It sucks quite a lot but this time I decided to finally find something to fill up me empty wall (Fun fact - I really don't like empty walls in my room. One wall and the half is full of the pictures, the second one has poster and a painting on it and the third one has a window. There's only one wall that has only clock on it).
I probably saw this idea on Pinterest and I really liked it. There was only a little problem finding a tissue paper but after many pages visited on Google I found out that Ikea actually sells it. I of course got to get it but then it was just laying in my room for couple of weeks. The problem is that I'm really lacking determination sometimes. But despite that, this weekend I finally got my hands on it and started crafting a bit and really enjoyed it. I'm really pleased with the result, I like how it fits into the theme of my room. Not that my room has a certain theme, it just fits there, you know? My Mom actually doesn't like this garland and she doesn't understand its purpose because it doesn't really seem like an accessory to her but I really like it! It's so fun and I love the fact that I did it all myself.

If you'd like to see them, my other two Spring DIY posts are here Part 1 / Part 2 .

Fold the paper and make sure that these sides where arrows are pointing aren't separate, that you can't unfold them. Only the left side and the bottom of the paper should be separate sides.
This step isn't really necessary but I can't cut the straight line so using a ruler is a must for me, if your hands aren't sharing, you can skip this one.
There should be a couple of centimeters left at the top of the page when you cut these lines.
After you've cut all of the lines, unfold the paper, cut the right side where it is connected (there should be only the top of the paper still connected) and start twisting the paper.
When you've twisted all the paper, make the twist a bit tighter.
That is how the end result should look.
The last step is putting all the tassels on the rope and twist them a bit stronger once again, they hold on really well. Then secure the garland on the wall and there you have it, a brand new garland!
